Borno Boosts Health Sector by Overhauling Structures in Two Institutions
Borno State Government has embarked on a procedure to provide conducive teaching and learning environment for the Schools of Nursing and Health Technology in Maiduguri. Governor Kashim Shettima embarked on the complete renovation of the run-down structures and promised that his administration would not relent in its effort to provide healthcare delivery services to the people of the state, with special focus on maternal mortality and the eradication of the six child-killer diseases.
The Governor addressed the students to adequately utilise the facilities provided which is already 99% complete. He also commended the Management and staff of both institutions and the state Ministry of Health for their contributions towards transforming the health sector and urged them to keep at it. Governor Shettima further assured the provision of a 500KVA generator to the institutions, to ensure constant power supply. He also added that the provision of water and teaching materials will be feasible in the near future.
